Different Types of First Aid and CPR

We proudly offer a large variety of different types of first aid and CPR courses. Courses range from a length of 16 hours to as short as 3 hours.?Ultimately, it is the candidates choice as to what course they wish to take as long as they meet the basic prerequisites. If you are taking a course due to employment requirements, contact your employer to determine the course that you need. The following is a list of the different Firs Aid, CPR, AED and standalone CPR and AED courses that we provide.

First Aid, CPR and AED Courses:

  • Emergency first aid with CPR level “A”. This first aid and CPR course course gives candidates the option of selecting a CPR level “A” or CPR level “C” component. CPR training comes standard with emergency first aid. Upon completion, candidates will receive a workplace approved certificate on the same day of the course. Course cost is 75.00 dollars. This course is offered through either workplace approved or Lifesaving Society providers. Re-certifications are available for this course. They are approximately 6 hours in length and cost 60.00 dollars.
  • Emergency childcare first aid with CPR level “B”. This course is a 8 hour course offered only through workplace approved providers. Candidates will learn CPR at a level “B” standard which involves only adult and child CPR rescues. Upon completion, candidates will receive a workplace approved emergency childcare first aid certificate on the same day of the course. The course cost is 75.00 dollars. No re-certifications are available for this course.
  • Standard first aid with CPR level “C”. This first aid and CPR course course gives candidates the option of selecting a CPR level “C” or CPR health care provider (HCP) component. CPR level “C” comes standard with the course. The course is 16 hours in length and costs 130.00 dollars. Candidates will receive a standard first aid with CPR level “C” and AED certificate on the same day of the course. Re-certifications are available for this course. Re-certs cost 75 dollars and take approximately 8 hours.
  • Standard childcare first aid with CPR level “C”. This 16 hour first aid and CPR course is offered only through workplace approved providers. It includes CPR level “C” and involves AED training. The course cost is 130.00 dollars. Upon?successful?completion of the course, candidates will receive a workplace approved standard childcare first aid certificate on the same day of the course. No re-certifications are available for this course.

Stand Alone CPR courses:

CPR level “A” and AED. This CPR and AED course is the most basic CPR course offered via workplace approved and Lifesaving Society. It takes approximately 3 to 4 hours and costs 45.00 dollars. Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a CPR level “A” and AED certificate. No re-certifications are available for this course.

CPR level “B” and AED. This CPR and AED course is only offered with the emergency childcare first aid program. CPR “B” is no longer offered as a stand alone CPR course.

CPR level “C” and AED. This CPR and AED course is the most popular stand alone CPR course offered through workplace approved and Lifesaving Society. It takes approximately 6 hours and costs 50.00 dollars. Certificates are issued on the same day of the course. Re-certifications are available through workplace approved and Lifesaving Society. Re-certs take approximately 3 to 4 hours and cost 30.00 dollars.

Health Care Provider CPR (CPR HCP). This is the most comprehensive CPR course offered through workplace approved and Lifesaving Society. This course incorporates all of the curriculum of the CPR level “A”, “B” and “C” courses and adds more CPR training. The course takes approximately 8 hours and costs 55.00 dollars. Re-certifications are available for this course and cost 45.00 dollars.
