Individuals that work in the critical, emergency, and advanced care units as healthcare providers for infants and children are required to be certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). This course takes approximately 12 hours of course time to complete and costs approximately 144.99 (course fee varies depending on location). Registration for this course can be completed by selecting your location from our “locations” page. To successfully complete this course and receive an AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS certificate that is valid for 2 years participants must complete all skills components of the course and a multiple-choice test.

What Is the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course Content?

Participants enrolled in this course will learn the following content:

  • 1 and 2 person child and infant CPR and AED rescues
  • Recognition and management of cardiac emergencies for infants and children
  • The latest standards and changes to CPR techniques with the American Heart Association
  • Team role and management in rescues
  • When and how to effectively use automated external defibrillators
  • Resuscitation techniques in team environments

Skills and techniques are taught through hands-on training.
